Searching for "Rupert Bear" will produce a lot of variously irrelevant, silly and scurrilous nonsense, including some rude bits about the famous Oz Trial (DO NOT VISIT THIS LINK IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED!) in the heady, hippy and anarchic days (daze?) of 1971.
Here are some of the better and more decorous "hits" ...

- And the Netherlanders also put him on things like Biscuit Tins!
- A page that encourages tourists to visit Ruperty places.(all English - but it's interesting to note that Snowdonia also features large as inspiration for the mountains in Rupert stories).
- Rupert is also the mascot of the Muscular Dystrophy Association , who often join Followers at their "Annual" meeting in late August - a combination of an AGM and a Rupert Festival.

Unfortunately, search engines also tend to find a lot of dross and dead links when sent off to look for "Rupert Bear", as our ursine chum's name is taken in vain rather frequently. Don't waste too much time on most of them and please let me know if any of our links go mouldy - and I'll be happy to hear by email of any good sites that YOU find.
