Waldorf Q Waves -- Alt2

This page shows the waves contained in the second wavetable, Alt2. There are two graphics for each wave, a waveform and a spectrum.

The waveform is a straight oscilloscope trace. A full cycle is shown by the red lines on either side.

The spectrum graph shows the relative strengths of the first 80 harmonics. Even harmonics are coloured blue, odd ones are coloured red.

For more information and other waveforms, go to the front page.

Comments

None of the spectra extend beyond the 64th harmonic. Presumably the waves are stored in the Q as spectra with 64 values.

The wavetable appears to contain only these 33 waves. Intermediate waves seem to be interpolations.

The Q's Pulsewidth knobs only go up to 127. To get wave 128 you need to use a bit of PWM.

Waves 052 and 056 are the same.

Waves 088 and 092 are also the same.
