Waldorf Q Waves -- Virtual Analogue

This page shows the waves produced by the analogue oscillator models. There are two graphics for each wave, a waveform and a spectrum.

The waveform is a straight oscilloscope trace. A full cycle is shown by the red lines on either side.

The spectrum graph shows the relative strengths of the first 80 harmonics. Even harmonics are coloured blue, odd ones are coloured red.

For more information and other waveforms, go to the front page.

Comments

The Pulse wave has variable pulse width. Eight pulse widths have been shown above.

The Tri wave has the highest amplitude of all the Q's oscillator shapes.

The Pulse and Saw waves look slightly different at different pitches. These were all recorded at note E1 (MIDI note 40).
